Ayyyup...Mandela trashers.

Instead of discount them why don't you dis-prove them?

What for? In the end, Mandela is remembered as a great man, the father

of his country, and the leader who brought the people together and his

detractors...in the end no one will give a flying **** about them.

The key to your compost is "What for?" Because you cannot. That is why. And "in the end" you say? A truth of communism. "The end justifies the means"

The thing that most impressed me was how he convinces the ANC to not slaughter their long time oppressors once the balance of power had shifted.
One only has to look at neighbouring Rhodesia for the acts that took place when they had their revolution.

You are so right.

That may be true and it proves that the winners write the history. All of the people that
Mandela at the hands, figuratively, have a different view of him.

He sacrificed the last two thirds of his life, redemption for the first

I'm sure Gregg has lots of negative stuff saved up to post about Jonas
Salk, Gandhi, Jesus, Mother Teresa, et cetera. It's his reason for living.

What did I say that was negative?

Just because I am not willing to say Mandela was the second coming of
Christ, it is negative?

He put his country back into the world economy and that is a good
thing.

The "terrorist" comment is universal and not necessarily aimed at
Mandela. I don't know of anything he did personally.
The fact is we have a rich history of terrorists who we have
rehabilitated or simply supported all along.
That goes all the way back to the Revolutionary war snipers and
includes guys like Sherman, Grant and LeMay (you would include
Cheney). The current terrorists in the US order drone strikes.
How high up that goes would be decided in the Hague, if we ever lost
our power to say "**** you" to the world. We get to decide now.

****ing hilarious to hear harry krause talking about somebodys only
reason for living being to be negative... LOL, anybody who has ever read
his work... snerk...

The dirt on Mandela is too hard to find. Mandela is a convicted terrorist and he was a
communist until the day he died. His best international friends were Fidel and Muammar.

I will be honest here and say I don't know a lot about Mandela... However
what I have "caught" listening was that he was a decent man who's actions
reflected that... He walked the walk, for what he believed, and
sacrificed his own "life" as it were, for the greater cause with no regrets...

He had his flaws, but overall he did good. Those who have taken over the
ANC, have corrupted his ideals. Big thiefs! It amazed me that Mandela
lived as long as he did. Visiting Robbin Island prison, and seeing the
work they had to do, and the living conditions he lived under, was amazing
he was still that healthy. His weakness was women. So he had a divorce in
his life. He left home, as he did not want to marry the women picked out
for him. Winnie is not even well liked in South Africa. The day we left
she was being investigated for murder charges when we were there in March.
Killing those on her side in the struggles. I do not think Mandela was a
Communist, but was a Socialist. And a conviction for terrorism? Thomas
Jefferson would have been convicted by the English under their rule for
terrorism.

Mandela was a communist and terrorist before he went to prision, he was a communist while he
was in prision and he was a communist after he was released from prison. The only thing that
changed was the level of terrorism that he was directly involved with.
