You have to remember it was the government that killed him.

You think it was because he never fought for tax cuts for the wealthiest
Nazarenes?

Interesting dude. Too bad so many who claim to believe in him engage in
practices so contrary to what he allegedly taught.

Jesus did not really have a problem with taxes. He said his people
should "Render unto Caesar". The issue was that he threatened their
political power. Then there was a problem with the old school Jews
that he was being billed as the son of God and that ****ed them off.
Take your pick.

You might want to view some posts with the humor with which they were

My suspicion is that the Jews of that era and since did and do not
believe Jesus fulfilled the important conditions and prophecies laid out
in their bible and therefore was not *the* messiah. One of these is that
the messiah must be a member of the tribe of Judah and a traceable
descendant of Kings David and Solomon. There was and is no proof Jesus
had these connections and ancestors and in fact the King James bible
(Matthew 1:18) says:

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was
on this wise: When as his mother
Mary was espoused to Joseph, before
they came together, she was found
with child of the Holy Ghost.

Jewish lineage traces from the father's side. Since Christians don't
claim such lineage for Jesus, one can assume that particular "condition"
in the Jewish bible was not met, and therefore, for this reason alone
(and there are many others) Jesus is not the messiah.

But the mileage of your faith may vary.
