Hmmm...perhaps without global warming, you'd be buried under four feet
of snow instead of just two? Even if two feet of snow seems plenty
to you, the effects of global warming are not necessarily noticed to
a uniform degree in all places at all times.

That said, the effects *are* noticeable worldwide...especially
worrying when considering the polar regions.

If you call it "global warming" whenever something melts, then I
suppose that would have to be true.
