That's a very good price. The Mosin is definitely inexpensive to
shoot but I'm still not crazy about the gun itself. Ammo for the M1
Garand is more than three times as expensive but the M1 is a much
nicer gun to shoot and the ammo is non-corrosive.


If you buy American ammo you need not worry about any corrosive issues.
American ammo is non-corrosive.


True, but the cost is about five times as much.

Guns don't cause problems. Gun owner
*behavior* causes problems.
So it does. Personally I have no problems paying more for something that is perceived as better. I think the American ammo is superior to the Russian ammo so I prefer to buy it.
