Oh it "looks" big alright but it's deep cut in the center. It
actually holds 5 gal. Not sure what the reserve capacity is though

That includes the reserve.

Yes but I didn't know how much gas you have left after you turn on the
reserve, Maybe a gallon and a half?

I'm thinking it's less than a gallon. Maybe next time I get a couple hundred miles on
a tank I'll measure the reserve amount. Be interesting.

Yes it would be interesting, but you're tank is totally different than
mine. But that's what I liked about the ambassador, it had double fuel
peacocks Wso you could only used a "half tank" at a time.


I have the same thing...petcocks on each side and half the reserve on each side.

But like the old VW bug, you had to remember to switch the reserve valve
handle back when filling up. No gas gauge.


Yup, been there and done that. Luckily I was going downhill at the time, and there
was a gas station at the bottom!
