The militant group Al-Shabaab -- Al Qaeda's affiliate in
Somalia --
has
released a recruitment video featuring GOP presidential
frontrunner
Donald Trump.
The more-than 51-minute propaganda video comes on the heels of a
war of
words between Trump and Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton
over
her
suggestion that the real estate mogul's controversial remarks
about
Muslims would be used to recruit jihadis.
---
Trump...without question the biggest asshole in the 2016 election
race.
She didn't say "would". She said it *had* been used. At that
time it
had not.
Know that for a fact, do you?
What's funny is that the horse's ass known as Trump was "indignant"
about the claim when it surfaced, and now he is gloating. He is *so*
modern day Republican.
I know this: When she first made the statement that a recruitment
video
*had* been made virtually every media outlet went searching for it.
Obviously the first to find it would have an "exclusive". Problem
was,
no video was found and they acknowledged that.
The fact that one has now been made (after she planted the idea
probably) doesn't change the fact that Hillary has a problem with
blaming things on videos.
But, yes, Trump *is* an ass.
Unless the Repugnants figure out a way to stop him, it is beginning to
look like Trump will be the nominee, and the fall-back guy is Ted
Cruz.
Either of those possibilities strike me as funny
Take a look at the latest polling data averages for the general
election. Hillary still holds a lead over Trump but the gap has
narrowed significantly compared to a month or two ago. A Cruz versus
Clinton matchup is currently a tie. Rubio actually holds a slight lead
over Clinton. Even Carson polls well against her. Might be closer
than
you thought a while back.
I don't think so.
I think what popularity Rubio has is based on the fact that he's neither
Trump nor Cruz. He really seems to be an empty suit and a lousy
campaigner.
Cruz is a nutcase. There are hundreds of videos of him demonstrating
that. They'll get a lot of play. Plus, he is overzealously a religious
fundie, and that is not going to work in a general election.
Carson is on the way out.
So, in other words, the pollsters have it all wrong, eh?
There is a strong anti-Hillary sentiment that exists in the country that
is not exclusive to Republicans. Many Democrats consider her to
be untrustworthy and dishonest but most, like you, will vote the party
line rather than for a Republican. I understand that. But,
there is a widening range of Independents who will most likely determine
who the next POTUS is.
Whatever Mrs. Clinton's shortcomings, real or imagined, there's no
question she would be a better POTUS than any of the Repubs who might
survive the early caucuses and primaries, such as Trump, Cruz, or Rubio.
That's just your personal opinion and not related to this discussion.
The discussion was about the latest poll results and the fact that the
election may be a lot closer than what you have been preaching for many
months.
