Pit bulls have an undeserved reputation. The stereotype is a result
of assholes conditioning them to fight because they are muscular and can
be trained to be tenacious.

Originally they were "nanny" dogs, that people got to be with and play
with small children in households.


I agree, there are some "bad" ones around but most are pretty gentle.
Usually they call the calm ones "blue nose". The guys next door have
one. My biggest fear of that dog is that he is too timid. That is the
type of dog that gets "nippy". I am working with him trying to
socialize him, because the owner won't.
I am a dog guy tho. I like dogs and I get along with them. We can
talk. ;-)
