By the way Charlie was impressed with the tour I managed to put together
for him (14 gigs in 19 days - it is the new rock n' roll) The idea was
hatched in October on the Grand Canyon and within a couple of months of
my return we had a tour.
He is interested in coming over again and doing another series of shows
so if you want a show in your area let me know. He has been asked to
appear at the Kendal Mountain film festival which is in November, so
that gives plenty of time to get the tour organised and into peoples
calendars - except I am off to Turkey and Iran for the summer (see my
web page for the plan click on the top left bit once you have entered
the site) and will not be back till the end of August but with e-mail
this can work!
We discussed what shows he has and he says he can put together a West
coast of America show. California, Oregon, Washington and British
Columbia with a little diversion to Idaho. I suggested that he might
want to put a sea touring show together as well and people could choose
which they want.
Anyone in Ireland read this newsgroup and want to put a show on - I will
contact Gerry Collins at the Great outdoors in Dublin but to make it
worth his while to cross the Irish Sea he needs more than one show in
the emerald isle.
Cost of the show would be more than the 150 quid a show he charged on
this trip but he has to go home and add up his expenses and see how much
more he would have to charge to make a sensible wage! He was lucky this
time I drove him around for some of the tour and Steve 'sick boy' Rogers
drove him around Scotland.

Last chance to catch Charlie's show.
Shame on you if you missed it, I caught the show in Glasgow and it was
excellent stuff. Can't see myself heading for the Tsang Po anytime
soon, what a jaw droppingly spectacular and utterly terrifing looking
river.
