A few large, densely populated Democrat cities (NYC, Chicago, LA, etc) should not speak for the
whole of our country.

Looking at the "half the population" map, it seems people would be
happy giving the residents of nine states absolutely no say in how
they are governed.
This is just another demonstration of the flaws in a pure democracy.
It is 2 wolves and a sheep voting on what to eat for dinner.
