I really believe going easy on the clutch (not 'popping' it) has helped me get a lot more miles out
of the current u-joint.

I did too. Thanks. One thing about my goose is that it's a newer (2000) 1100 fuel injected thing. I really don't have to worry about I joint failures *yet* because it only has 21,xxx miles on it.

My first one, on the Mille, went out around the 20,000 mile mark. On the 850T I was putting in a new
one almost every 25-30K. But I rode the **** out of that thing - every takeoff was a drag race! I've
settled down some now. Shoot, I'll even let kids in their soupy Hondas outrun me at stop lights!
