Heard about that on a local news program. We will have clear skies but would probably have to get away from city lights for the full effect.
Trouble is...it will be minus 10 C tonight although the winds are a bit lighter than normal. Wind chill will be minus 16 C.
Probably need a good pair of long johns to stay warm.
Too overcast to see it here. maybe tomorrow night.
I didn't think to look but I bet it is no brighter than venus on a
close approach. They do tend to hype these things a little. A month or
so ago something was supposed to be as bright as the moon.
What was actually true was it was the second brightest thing in the
night sky but there was a huge gap between #1 and #2. It was just a
slightly brighter "star".
Shine a little laser light on your ceiling.
