Not so or there would be no need for a sailing endorsement on
a Master's license.

Only on an auxiliary powered vessel.

Type of boat doesn't matter unless you are NOT on it.
If you give lessons in exchange for pay and if you are
aboard and the student is aboard you need a license.

If you had a captain's license, you would know the answer to that
question.
Think about the type of boats we're using.

How is it that you can train kids for money and not have
a USCG Captain's license?

Finished the last week of our summer sailing camp. Gone are the
whining
little kids. Gone are the 8 hour days of dinghy sailing. Gone
are
the
bikini clad assistants.
All in all it wasn't bad, though this session was the worst.
80% of
this
sessions kids couldn't (or wouldn't) sail when they arrived.
Turned
them
all into competent sailors. The mom of the biggest whiner gave
me
two
cases
of Dos Equis for getting her son to get over his fear of the
water
and
sailing.
