So are they "powered up" downwind, at lesser angles of heel, and greater
speed? Or does "powered up" have nothing to do with speed? At first you
said that it did.

A big part of the problem is that you can't seem to state the situation
clearly and consistently.


Why do you say that. I think the pictures, my descriptions all show That
I am talking about going to windward.

It is you that is confused. Tell us, do you think winglets are important
going down wind in an IACC yacht? If you wan't to talk about it let's
start a new thread.
