Sorry to respond so late, but if you're still in the area, try the
Constitution Marsh on the Hudson River. Put in at Cold Spring (go over the
train tracks and park in the Metro North parking area on the West Side of
the tracks. The put-in is only yards off the parking lot). The Marsh 2-300
yards is just south of the put-in. You have to go under a railroad trestle,
so time the entry and exit for low or mid tide. You can also paddle north
through the Hudson Highlands or cross the river to USMA at West Point. All
around, it's a beautiful area to kayak.

Another area further south is Croton Point Park. If you kayak around the
point to the south there are some nice estuaries.

om...
A couple of us would like to go for an after-work paddle on
Wednesday and we both work in Westchester County but haven't paddled
down there.

Looking for something that will take us through a miandering creek
that shoots off the main body of water ... reasonably still water with
lots of scenery.

That sort of thing is what we'd like to do.

I know... sounds like a pretty lame description, but work with me ;-)

If anyone has any suggestions in the area... including put-in
locations, etc., please let me know.

Thanks in advance,
Marie-Celeste
