Hopefully it will pass by Florida altogether and go visit Joe sitting there
in TX....he doesn't have enough to worry about....
Seem the storm will enter the yucatan cut today. The way NOAA keep
moving the track west it may indeed come to this area.
That OK, unlike the wimps in S. Florida we know how to deal with
storms. We have planned for months where to go if needed. We have
several hurricane hole picked out, boats fuled up, generator has fresh
oil and filters. If it is under a cat 2 we will just stay here in the
marina and ride it out like we have several other hurricanes.
Still I would not wish a hurricane on anyone Katy. Even if it make a
direct hit here some of my neighbors might not fare as well as
RedCloud.
We will keep a close eye on it's track.

Boats are centered in canal in a spider web of long lines. separate
cache of hurricane provisions in boat & in house(mobile home) . I
live in low lying area, 8' surge will be about waist deep. Separate
cache of water/food/cooking/generator 10 miles away @ 15' elevation.
car fueled ready to run to mainland worst case senario, its keeps
favoring its most westerly track of the five models. Key West is
empty not much remains open, florida city reported 1000 cars an hour
evacutaing.
5 day predictions do not seem nearly as accurate as the three day,
last weds forecast looked bad for us, todays is much more
favorable.......
"katysails"
Roy, have you evacuated or are you sitting it out on your boat?
