dentists and three country or city dental organizations. His sad tale
was vetted. Fifteen of the dentists' offices' receptionists remembered
talking to him. And turning him down. Dunno if he tried or found a
dental school

Apparently unemployment in the Pac Northwest has emptied the coffers of
social service agencies.



The work is first rate, but takes a long time and there's
usually a lot of appointments. It's ideal for people who have more time
than money (the unemployed, retirees, etc).

He was in real pain, he said.


Nevertheless, I find it impossible to believe this guy's story that 3 local
dental societies turned him down. His story just isn't credible.

Sure it is. It was checked out. Carefully.



My best
guess is that he's been pegged as a "drug seeker" who, every weekend, calls
the next dentist on the list for a narcotic and an antibiotic...and then
doesn't show for the appointment on Monday because his tooth is feeling
better by then.

No, he's just a poor soul who is out of work, destitute, looking for
work, but in terrible pain, so much he yanked his own teeth.

Life in America under the Bush-**** Administration. You'd better not
fall through the cracks...because there is no safety net.
