About 3 million unemployed Americans have exhausted their state
jobless benefits and are ineligible for further federal aid, according
to a policy research organization.

Among that number are 58,800 Missourians and 27,600 Kansans, the
Center on Budget and Policy Priorities said last week.

Only about 34,000 unemployed U.S. workers continued to receive
benefits under the federal Temporary Extended Unemployment
Compensation program, said researcher Isaac Shapiro.

There are about 8 million U.S. workers looking for work.

And most are temporarily out of work, just the the majjority that lack
health insurance...it is a temporary condition, besides, basic economics
teaches that around 5% unemployment is healthy.......if the labor poor
shrinks too much further, it leads to a rapid increase in labor cost, which
can cause rapid inflation.
