I have a employee with a middle initial. Simply the letter D with no

his name with quotation marks around the D to draw attention to the
fact that it is just a letter.
My new daughter-in-law sent me an official USS Harry S Truman ballcap
purchased at the Navy base in Norfolk. It is stitched or embroidered
(whatever it is they do) with "USS Harry S. Truman" CVN 75. I'll get
some waterproof blue ink and blot out the period, I think.
The cap is now part of my collection of about a zillion various ballcaps
and half a zillion well worn boat shoes that I just can't bring myself
to throw away. They all work well with the wardrobe of the recently
retired, including pants that are buckled 3/4 of the way up my chest and
held in place with one of a quarter zillion belts that have pictures of
little fish on them.
At least I don't wear ties anymore.
