Those runs off 7 & 8 are waaay too good!
I worked as a professional ski patrolman there in '73 through '75, but there
was no development of Peak 7 at that time--only Peaks 8 and 9. My favorite
run at Breckenridge was Inferno (in the valley off Peak 9 toward Peak 8),
which I helped cut in the summer of '74. My fondest memories, however, were
of XC skiing around the Continental Divide, which was the next range toward
the east. The town has exploded since I left, and so has the ski area,
including both Peaks 7 and 10 of the Ten Mile Range. Wonderful memories.
