Starting December 18th, there was a thread on safety gear, which included
a discussion of a "Blaster Horn" that was reported to be amazingly loud.
Included in that thread was a discussion of the size of the horns, some of
which were reported to be on the large size for paddlers, with some of
them somewhat smaller. Someone claimed that there were two sizes.
Unfortunately, now that I am ready to order a horn, I am confused about
which one to buy.
SeaSense makes one of them, a SeaSense Safety Blaster Horn, usually
portrayed on the web as white with an orange mouthpiece. The discussion
thread indicated that there were a couple of sizes of SeaSense horns, but
they all look the same on the web.

Orion makes a Safety Blaster Horn, usually shown on the web as a carded
product, all orange.
Apparently there is a company called "Safety Blaster" that also makes a
Safety Blaster Horn, black and orange.
If you go to amazon, and search for Blaster Horn under Sports and Outdoor
category, you can see three horns side by side on one page. For all I can
tell, they are identical except for brand name and color.
On pygmyboats.com, I found a Safety Blaster Horn with a white mouthpiece
and a blue body.
Unfortunately, none of the ads seem to tell you how large they are,
although some ads mention 1.4 oz. They all look like they are the same
size and design, just different brand names and colors. Some of the ads
even say "assorted colors". They generally have lanyards. The cost
varies, but all are around $10 US.
So, which one do I order? How long are they? I am looking for something
to affix to my life jacket.

Unless thats a 1-inch cable making the lanyard, it looks to be about the
size of a candy bar, when extended. Closed, about the size of a film
canister.
