What is "Caig conformal coating?". I think I may need some for my new MARINE
ICOM 802. I'd like to get the Icom designer out on a rough night in Bass
Strait. We had better waterproof connectors on automotive electronics
10years ago.

I suggest you consider the marine environment before spending a lot of
money
on a non-marine piece of equipment. Most marine electronics are
protected
from rust/corrosion and sometimes direct water contact. Non-marine
electronics may not last very long.....
99% of that difference can be taken care of with a screwdriver and a $5.00
spray can of Caig conformal coating.
