Default which prop

You are not underpowered so an good SS 4 blade prop should work fine. SS
will give you better planing ability and overall performance. You don't say
what pitch or rpms your running wide open but you want to prop for right at
4800 rpms wide open.
Check ebay for a prop. You might get lucky

I have a 1993 four winns 245 vista with a 351 OMC king cobra engine
and need a new prop. I tore mine up tonight. the prop I have on it
right now was an aluminum 4 blade prop that a mechanic put on last
year as I was complaining of having difficulties plaining off with
more than 2 people in the boat. ( It also seems that someone had put
anodes around the shafts of the engine tilt, so that the engine could
not go down deep enough to get the right angle) My question is, what
prop do I want to put on this boat for all around general use? no
pulling waterskiers or anything? I am still concerned about plaining
off issues, but not as much since we removed the donuts.
