In addition to the advice I previously offered, you may want to suspend
some
of the programs starting up when you boot your computer. Even running in
the background they will eat up your computers memory.

Download this and run it:

Be careful of what you disable as there are windows programs that must run
in the background for your system to work.

Yes I have. The only things they give away are the tests and the advice. I
have been relied on that site for years.

I was thinking of running the 'pc tuneup'. Have you tried that?
