When I hooked mine up this spring, couldn't find any satellites. I happened
to have another antenna... so plugged that in and it worked just fine.

I recently purchased a boat that included the GPSMAP162.
the guy i bought the boat from said that the unit was just out of the
box.
i cannot seem to locate any satalites.
it has an external antenna mounted to a pole on the gunnel of the boat.
please, any suggestions on what i might check.
