Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., called it a pernicious proposal and a
"dagger to the heart of the people of New York.



Heh. I find this really amusing. Senator Schumer blasting a tax
increase.


Of course, if Bubba had proposed the tax increase,. Shumer would have
been all for it!
