This episode really does make me feel safer flying. At least we know
there really are sky marshalls who can act quickly to such a threat.
Its too bad the guy is dead but the sky marshalls did exactly as they
were supposed to do. They should get medals.


My only issue with air marshals is that some of them have a bit too much
bravado. Last time I flew, I was in the preliminary security line where we
were asked for boarding pass and picture ID. The guy ahead of me pulled open
one side of his trenchcoat to show something on his belt. Hopefully, we was
displaying his badge, not his weapon. The security person smiled, nodded her
head, and the guy proceeded. That was extremely stupid. He gave away his
identity to anyone in line who was paying attention.
