It seems that some programs strip the 'OT'. I wrote a message yesterday

Today a reply came back with the header, " Hey Eisboch!". The 'OT'
was gone.
Eisboch uses Microsoft Outlook Express as his newsreader, so maybe that
program
strips the 'OT'.
Yep.... a well documented flaw in OE. I think the initial attempt was
to prevent an OT: OT: OT: OT: OT: OT: or
subject line, but the solution absolutely lacked any sort of finesse.
It's easier to just killfile certain posters here who *never* have
anything of interest to say, and skip over the headers of those posts you
don't want to read. I can't recall an "on topic" post from Fritz,
Smithers, or Robbins that had any useful content.
I don't killfile political posters. NOYB, for example, is a rather
obnoxious political poster, but he's obviously a good fisherman and
experienced boathandler, so he's never been in my killfile. Karl Denninger
was never in my killfile, and he was to the right of NOYB.
I'm beginning to think, though, that I ought to add a new category of
posters to my killfiles: those who are overly unctuous, as it were. All
that oil oozing out of their pores gives me...pimples.
