Boat Coolers & Bilge Pump
Check to see if there is a fuse. If you're handy you can check for voltage
at the switch and again at the bilge pump. If there is power to the pump
and it's not running then it's shot and you need to replace it.
If it looks like there is a thru hull fitting near the coolers then they
drain out of the boat. One way to check is to drain them after the boat is
on the trailer. If they do not drain well the hose may be kinked or
partially stopped up. Snake it with a piece of wire like tv coax. Or put
some compressed air to it and see if that helps.

Hey all....
Brand new (pre-owned) boat owner here. The bilge pump on my 2000
Chaparral worked fine when I first got the boat June. Now it won't turn
on... makes no noise / indication it's running at all. I'll take it in
for service but thought I'd ask here if there's anything *simple* I can
check as to why it's not working.
Also.... the coolers and the under-deck storage compartment have never
really drained properly / completely since the first day, even when the
bilge pump was working fine. Do these typically drain straight out of the
boat or go to an area that the bilge is supposed to pump out? I've read
through the ownership manual but didn't find any information about this.
Any replies / insight much appreciated!!
