How is St. Joe Bay these days? I've been wanting to sail over there
for awhile from Shell Pt (near St Marks) but just havent gotten around
to it.


Pristine. Getting better and better. All good things happening. I
noticed in August that, with the banning of drag cages and initiation
of a shorter season and bag limits, the scallops are plentiful and the
grass beds at the head of the bay are back in great shape. Couple
that with the closing and removal of the St. Joe paper plant and the
area, both on land and the water is getting better. It is my favorite
place to be.

Fishing is better in Appalachicola bay and East Bay, but I think St.
Joes is the got them for pretty.

Development is a concern, as always, however, it has been stopped cold
with the interest rate rise.

On this venture, you should get one of those "round tuits"
