Here in the south-east USA, large number of the forests
owned by logging companies have been sold off to developers.
Furthermore, unless your idea of "carefully managed &
replenished" means clear-cutting every 8 years and
replanting a monoculture of modified DNA fast-growing pine
trees... not exactly the same thing as an ecologically
balanced forest... then the logging companies don't
replenish ****.
So much for the "capitalists only seek
to maximize profits and maximize them NOW" crap.
