In other words, you are trying to censure, for us, material you don't

So Chuck, in fifty words or less, how the heck is this "Chuckie Dot"
campaign of yours supposed to suppress cross posting and OT posting to
rec.boats.
It's less likely to suppress it than it is to discourage it.
We're loaded with OT posts. But there's a difference between using the
group as a sort of "myspace" with stuff like: "OT, My kids spent $6000
on me for Christmas so neener, neener" (especially when posted by a
regular) and OT stuff that is only brought here to start political
fist fights or foster divisive prejudices.
If you want to talk about how this ethnic group or that is subhuman,
how liberals are all traitors, how right wingers are the "real
Americans" etc etc etc etc there are plenty of sites out there for that
purpose. Probably some of the groups in the crosspost list for this
thread would be great places to start looking for that kind of stuff,
but it has nothing at all to do with boating and wasn't even posted by
a boater.
He is trying, along with a few others, to keep the bitter, rancorous,
name-calling posts to a minimum. Political and religious posts tend to
incite same. In other words, the **** could go to a group where the **** is
welcomed.
