Well you've spammed us now. No chance of a sale to the cruising
community after that. Anyone tecchy enough to want an installed PC
onboard *never* buys from spammers. For anyone that is tempted

though,
rather than looking at 'bero's overpriced 'marine interior' screens
start from:

I'd point out that most of the screens referenced by the above google
query are point-of-sale (POS) screens and don't have IP-65 ratings. Add
"+IP65" to the above inquiry and you end up with a much better list of
competitors. My experience has also shown that designing a panel for a
marine environment is a very difficult job.

If you think that your off-the-shelf panel that carries an IP-65 rating
will hold up as well as one specifically designed for the marine
environment, then think again. It won't. I look at the problems that
I've had with panels from NorthStar and RayMarine and I know that it's
not easy to build a robust unit. Then again, I have my units mounted by
the wheel in an open cockpit, so I have a worst-case scenario. The
folks at NorthStar told me that the mechanical engineer for NorthStar
had a photo of my installation pinned on his wall to remind him where
people put their units!

Note that have absolutely nothing to do with Loco Marine. I've just
know how much $ I've spent shipping units to/from the Caribbean for
repair.
