Default Raymarine Gyro

Greetings!
Has anyone in this NG experience with the Raymarine Gyroplus Yaw Sensor,
used with the older model 100 course computer? Is it worth while, i.e. is
there a significant performance improvement?
Wout

I have an S3 course computer to which I added an external GyroPlus. I had
issues with external unit and the tech that I deal with offered to remove
the gyro chip from the external unit and install it in the S3 for free.
Once I did that, I had no problems.

While I can't comment on using a model 100 (which is my old course
computer, which I now store as a spare), I will say that I'm amazed at how
well the gyro does in adjusting for wave action. I'd swear that someone
was at the wheel sensing what's going on. You can watch the wheel get into
a rythmic swinging motion to counter-act the sea state. I hate following
seas on the quarter, but the gyro handles them very well. I'm a believer!
