| Greetings!
| Has anyone in this NG experience with the Raymarine Gyroplus Yaw Sensor,
| used with the older model 100 course computer? Is it worth while, i.e.
is
| there a significant performance improvement?

| I have an S3 course computer to which I added an external GyroPlus. I had
| issues with external unit and the tech that I deal with offered to remove
| the gyro chip from the external unit and install it in the S3 for free.
| Once I did that, I had no problems.
|
| While I can't comment on using a model 100 (which is my old course
| computer, which I now store as a spare), I will say that I'm amazed at how
| well the gyro does in adjusting for wave action. I'd swear that someone
| was at the wheel sensing what's going on. You can watch the wheel get
into
| a rythmic swinging motion to counter-act the sea state. I hate following
| seas on the quarter, but the gyro handles them very well. I'm a believer!

Thanks, that sounds pretty convincing.
