Care for some unsolicited advise? Check the alternator bearings.
When you have the belt off rotate and wiggle the alternator shaft.
There shouldn't be any play in any direction. Also, make a mark on
the adjustment arm with a grease pencil when you tighten the belt so
you can see if you are getting a bit of slip. Finally, use the best
quality belts you can find. I use toothed superbelts and they last
for many hundreds of hours.
