BTW, do you even know
what a pugil stick is? They are used as a precursor to bayonet training.
They could, perhaps, cause a concussion if head gear wasn't worn, but
it's
not normal. They are *not* something even your son would want to use as a
weapon against us old guys.
That would be kinda like a Clint Eastwood movie. "Gonna hit me with your
stick, huh? BLAM!" Of course, *I'm* just kidding.
I can't figure out.................
Neither can I Reggie. According to my son 3 kids were knocked out in his
platoon during Pugil Stick fighting. My friends son was knocked cold twice
during his Pugil stick fighting. This is with helmets and body padding.
I guess John never learned to use them correctly.
Eau contraire, mon frere. I didn't get knocked out because I *did* learn to
use it correctly. I knocked no one out because they also had learned to
defend themselves. The objective is to learn to parry and thrust, not to
swing wildly and knock out your opponent. If your opponent had a bayonet at
the end of his rifle, he would let you wind up and then simply stick you in
the stomach.
That would hurt.
