BTW, do you even know
what a pugil stick is? They are used as a precursor to bayonet training.
They could, perhaps, cause a concussion if head gear wasn't worn, but
it's
not normal. They are *not* something even your son would want to use as a
weapon against us old guys.

That would be kinda like a Clint Eastwood movie. "Gonna hit me with your
stick, huh? BLAM!" Of course, *I'm* just kidding.

I can't figure out.................

Neither can I Reggie. According to my son 3 kids were knocked out in his
platoon during Pugil Stick fighting. My friends son was knocked cold twice
during his Pugil stick fighting. This is with helmets and body padding.

I guess John never learned to use them correctly.

Jim, have you ever seen one on one Pugil sticks in the pit? Have you
ever seen two on one? The trick to wining is to keep the stick high and
keep the stick moving. The way you "win" is either a slash to the head
or a horizontal butt stroke, body shots don't count. With the horizontal
butt stroke being the simulation of slamming the butt of a rifle into
the other guys head. Hitting the other guy in the head at the right
spot, even with a helmet on, will knock him down at a least and out cold
at most.

As John H said you are practicing killing someone before he hills you.
