These days, not really.

But a few years back Mastercraft did make the PowerStar 200 that
had an outboard. Was targeted more for the bare foot crowd. Threw
me for a loop the first time I saw a Mastercraft with a motor
hanging off the back.

I've taken upon myself to talk to anyone I see at the marina or out on
the water with waterskis on an outboard boat, to make sure they know
that when they are using those skis, they're really not.
