Just curious, I have Bearing Buddies on a couple of pretty old
trailers and, so far so good.

I have used them for a long time. May I speculate that it might not
have been the highway, but the heat and pressure of having taken in
moisture? If they are not kept pumped up, they can still take in
moisture. I have had no problems with them, ever..
