This newsgroup used to be very informative. There was a very nice lady
who knew everything about chemicals for your boat and some very
knowledgeable people all around. What happened?
I'm afraid to ask questions or make comments now!
People like you who lurked but didn't participate killed it. If there had been a
steady stream of boating related questions and information, the assholes could
not have taken over so easily. You blew it.
Nice....I used to contribute quite often until I sold my boat. Now I
have purchased another boat and this is what I found upon returning.

This place could be useful if ALL parties refused to participate in the
nonsense. If you don't think this unmoderated group is for you, one of the
biggest, and most active moderated boat forums is athttp://www.boatered.com

There are others, of course, but they are not as well run or nearly as big. the
boatered forums have been around for a long time, has far more participants, and
the moderation is only to maintain order in a very low-key manner. No heavy
handed gestapo tactics like other forums you may hear about. Don't take my, or
anyone else's word for it. Check them all out and decide for yourself.

boatered is the most moderated group on the net. Post something that
Les Hall does not agree with and you are toast (unless you pay to
become a *member* there).

Plus, boatered is a full time sales of its stuff organization.
