Looks like it's going to curve West after moving up the Florida
peninsula and stay over Central Georgia for a while.
That might help Lanier out a little.
We need the storm to come straight up the state and then STOP over
N
Georgia.
This is an interesting storm. I was just looking at Havana and Key
West radar - there appears to be a northerly wall building, but
there
doens't seem to be any convection south and not a lot of feeder
bands.
Looking at the individual cell tracks, there doesn't appear to be
any
closure to the wall - low pressure, yeah, but no "eye" if you will.
I think, and being an amateur at this which means it's probably
bullfeathers, that the southerly wind shear at 30-40K feet was
stronger than they anticipated which is ripping the storm apart.
Well, forecast that son of bitch to stop over N. GA.
Screw N. Georgia.
I want it back out in the Atlantic then up the East Coast right up
Fisher's Island Sound so I can get from great pictures from Watch
Hill. :)
Screw you and your silly photography.
Did I tell you I am taking a trip a 9 day trip to Yosemite and Eastern
Sierra in Oct.?- Hide quoted text -

Very cool!! Yosemite is nice, but crowded. Make SURE you get to Tioga
Pass, then go around to Bodie, a ghost town with a colorful past:

And don't forget to do a lot of B/W photography, ala Ansel Adams!
Take a trip down to June Lake and do the June Lake Loop. Very nice photo
views. Also a day trip over to Hot Creek and the hatchery and then up the
road a little is the geologic thermal pool area. Interesting. Also some
neat shots to be had of the Tufa formations of Mono Lake. Good view of the
lake in High Plains Drifer. Shot on the shore of the lake. Tiger Bar in
June Lake is good for dining.- Hide quoted text -

June Lake looks cool!
Was the lake Power Bait was invented and tested in. They stayed in the same
campground we do, the Pine Cliff. Was up there about 3 weeks ago. Flash
floods south of Mammoth and one night in Tuolumne Meadows. Rain and hail
for about 3 hours. Was terrible for the tent campers. Lots of sleeping
bags, etc drying the next day. We abandoned our screen room to get in the
truck camper. Heated up a can of Bushes Beans for dinner, and played
dominoes. We make it up there once or twice a year. Take the Kayak as is
easier than towing the boat. And the lakes are small. Lots of times I
float tube. Much more laid back than the next town down. Yuppieville
Mammoth. But a great ski mountain.
