Jacksonville is getting pounded by the back side of Fay. The 11:00 AM
eastern time report has the center of the storm near Cedar Key, on the
Gulf
coast west of Gainesville. About 76,000 people are without power in Duval
County (JAX). Luckily, we are high and dry, nine miles east of downtown
JAX,
three miles west of the Atlantic. Electric power has flickered a few
times,
and we're still living in the light.

Looks like Fay has emerged into Apalachee bay. The bay is very warm
so if she sits here she could get stronger but she will prob hit land
near Ocklocknee Bay. Outside my window I see what is prob 25 kt
winds. Steady slow rain but no thunder.
Tallahassee
Radar has it looking as if the center is just west of Cedar Key
