Golf balls roll much further when the ground is frozen. Also, it's
possible
to put balls out of saturated sand traps that are frozen. And, hitting a
frozen green can be just like hitting a paved cart path.
Lastly, when there's little wind, golf is very playable when the temp is
in
the low 30's.
Duh! It's not as if you're really doing all that much.... walking around in
circles with the occasional swing at a stationary ball.
Did someone say something about 'doing all that much'?
It's about 4.5 miles of walking, assuming little criss-crossing. If you
play like I do, then you can add another mile or two.
I would venture to say that it's more exercise than staring at a monitor
and typing all day. No?
