Golf balls roll much further when the ground is frozen. Also, it's
possible
to put balls out of saturated sand traps that are frozen. And, hitting a
frozen green can be just like hitting a paved cart path.
Lastly, when there's little wind, golf is very playable when the temp is
in
the low 30's.
I wonder how many idiots are out playing golf when ground is frozen and it
is 30F? And why.
Hopefully more than those who sit around a computer all winter complaining
about Sarah Palin.

Actually, there were quite a few out today. I played in a foursome, and
there was another right behind us.
Temps in the 30s aren't bad if the day is sunny and wind free, like today.
I wouldn't want to be riding in a cart though.
