part of the 29,000 firearms Mexican officials recovered at crime scenes.
According to the ATF, of the 11,000 submitted to U.S. officials for
tracing, 6,000 could be traced somewhere because of the serial numbers
or other distinctive markings. Of those 6,000 firearms, 5,114 or 90
percent, were found to have been smuggled from the U.S.

The White House stands by the president's use of the word "recovered" in
describing the role firearms smuggled from the U.S. play in Mexico's
drug war."

OK look at the numbers as any logical person would and you find that of
the 29,000 guns RECOVERED only 5114/29000 = 17.6% were from the USA.
Obama is simply to stupid to understand simple math.

LOL, you're doing pretty good with the lies and statistics yourself. *Any
*logical* person would realize that because 5,114 guns were proven to be
from the US, doesn't mean the rest weren't from the US. *

Why do you suppose only 11,000 of the 29,000 recovered guns were given
to the ATF? Could it be because the country of origin was not the USA?

Does the fact that only 5114 guns were proven to come from the USA
give Obama the right to make the 90% claim?

I will give you that we aren't the only manufacturers of guns, but
regardless of the percentage, there is a major drug war going on in
Mexico, with many Americans and Mexicans being slaughtered. *That should
be what's important, but instead you whine about a "lie". *So, what are
the GOPs chances in 2010? *ROTFLMAO

The post had to do with the lies of our President. It's interesting to
note that the alleged Bush 'lies' about Iraq got so much attention of
you liberals, but the obvious lies of the current President give you
only chuckles.
