Tubes are not good for square areas.
In my bowrider there was space on the passenger side up under the legspace.
I may have opened it up into the front area. I had a squarish 8 inch woofer box
I allready had made for mobile, using an 8 inch Madisound dual coil driver
with suitable sized box. I'm trying to remember back to 1994.
A 10 inch requires a larger box, but each driver requires matching the
parameters
and that determines size and box type. Sometimes in a vented system, having the

vented opening enter the listening sopace works well. A 10 inch is generally
the best
choice for power handling and efficiency, and driver resonance. If ti does not
fit,
then you can't use it, but you can use a closed box system using a closed box
woofer,
in a smaller box, by using more power and bass boost. Box size can be increased
by
using compressed fiberglass, up to 40%.

Mine used a fairly smal amp about 40 watts. The HU was a Blaupunct with 4 Radio
Shack
speakers in a 4 arrangement facing inward on brackets under the side ledges.

Found one pic of my and my bros 20 footer. its got a tight front cover for use
out in Lake Erie.

How I put in a space confined stealth subwoofer, in my former 280Z
4 - 6 1/2 inch drivers. I used a big amp with 4 channels and probably 200 watts on the woofers.
