There was a posthumus hero of the Nazi movement name Horst Wessel, who
was murdered at the age of 23 in 1930. The " Horst Wessel Song" was
the anthem of the Nazi movement. Hitler built three sail training
ships, all of whilch are still in use. On of them was named the Horst
Wessel. The Coast Guard renamed it Eagle. Trivia: of the officer
training ships, one, British, 1880, simply vanished.
