Just heard a movie ad with Clint Eastwood. "Grand Torino."
This is the guy who used to protect the West, save San Francisco from
terrorists, etc, etc.
You know, "Go ahead. Make my day."
Or "A man's got to know his limitations."
Or "Do you feel lucky today?"
Some real badass stuff with that .44 Magnum and Colt .45.
My kind of cop. My kind of cowboy. My kind of Marine.
So what do I hear him say in this "Grand Torino" ad?
"Get off my lawn."
WTF?
I'm beginning to really fear for this country.
Couldn't he say something like,
"Should I start my lawnmower before or after I shove it up your ass?"
Or, "These hedgeclippers can cut your fingers clean off."
Maybe, "If I run this broadcast spreader at you, you'll find yourself
with an eye full of fertilizer. You decide."
I don't know. It just don't seem right hearing Clint Eastwood saying
"Get off my lawn."
You might like this one better, seems more in character:

Well, that was a rather boring ten minutes of naptime....
Don't worry...the nurse will bring you your pablum soon.
