You couldn't catch me dead climbing inside an engine compartment with the
engine going. I thought he was crazy. What if he got caught on something?
Never said it was running, however it prpbably was at times but there is
plenty of room there anyway if it were.
You I used to climb into the engine compartment of a lot of those old
boats. It was the best way to get to some of that stuff (like the
distributor adjustment on Chevy small blocks).. They had a fan shroud
that kept you away from that but you still had to stay away from the
hot manifold.
