The GPS around here takes you through gated communities if that is the
most direct route on the map, even when they are not really through
streets. At my wife's country club the guard turns a few people a week
back who say the Onstar/TomTom/NAV told them that was the way to go
(even though the back gate needs a key)

They used to route people across a little rickety one lane bridge with
a 5000 lb load limit in that same general area.

Yeah, my Tom Tom keeps trying to send me through the North End of
